Did you know that... well-formed, dense and undamaged heads with 3-4 tightly adhering leaves are stored for long-term storage. The selected heads leave a stump at least 3 cm long.
The optimum storage temperature is 0+1°C. Cabbage is well preserved in cellars if the heads are wrapped in thick paper.
